My Philosophy
Inspiring and guiding students within a positive learning environment is my passion as an educator. Each student in my care has the right to access the curriculum at a level that will challenge him or her. Each session will be structured to cater for the individual needs of your child. My planning and delivery are based on critical reflection of research embedded in many years of experience within schools. I value my fifteen years of experience in Hong Kong and Japan in addition to the diversity of roles that I have held in Melbourne, Australia. I look forward to working with you to support your child in their learning journey.

Why me?If your child has received a diagnosis such as dyslexia, auditory processing disorder or a specific language disorder, they require explicit instruction from a specialist in order to develop their skills and confidence. Early intervention is proven to be the most effective means of remediating learning difficulties.
|
No Diagnosis? Not all children who find learning challenging have a diagnosis. These children will benefit from my instruction as they will understand themselves as learners and develop skills in order to access curriculum.

Sarah is particularly passionate about teaching. I have not come across a more experienced teacher who exudes palpable enthusiasm in teaching. She has a lot of experience helping kids who need learning support. With remarkable patience, she is able to identify and address these issues effectively. My son, Alistair, is yet to meet a more zealous teacher who can make learning fun. She is perpetually enriching herself in education, refining her methods. She would definitely be teaching my kids had she not moved overseas. We’ll be first to enlist when she starts teaching online! (Annette - Hong Kong)
